PeaceQuest 2018

PCO was well represented at the Peace Quest International Day of Peace Rally on 9-21-18. Judi H. spoke about the refugee program in Lansing and Paula F. presented information on GIL, one of PCO's cherished missions. There are more events through September 30 including the movies "Out of Order" on  9-25-18 and "Trails of Hope and Terror" on 9-27-18 with both shown at Studio C in Okemos and both at 7 pm.

PeaceQuest 2018

Peace Quest 2018 will  be held at various sites in the Lansing area during the month of September. Here is the link to the event schedule: https://peacequestgreaterlansing.org/event-schedule/ . The Presbyterian Church of Okemos is cosponsoring two movies during the month. GIL Fundraiser April 27 2018

Join us for the 2018 GIL Fundraiser. For those of us who do not know or those of us who may not remember, GIL was established in 2010 with a mission of providing an alternative high school to Lansing area refugees who arrived in Michigan too old to complete their secondary education. That support has resulted in many refugees attaining a high school degree and that degree has improved their self-sufficiency and economic opportunities.
