Kent passed away on February 15, 2021 at 81 years of age. He had retired from Michigan State University in 2002 after many years of teaching and involvement with on-air radio, radio and TV management, and instructional television. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eunice; his sons Stephen and David, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
