One church hosting two events on Sunday, December 21
First Presbyterian Church of Lansing
510 W. Ottawa Street in downtown Lansing
is continuing the tradition of hosting “Caroling at the Capitol” and also holding a fundraiser for its food pantry on the Sunday before Christmas.
Come to both or just one. Everyone is welcome!
1. Caroling at the Capitol
– Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
– Details: We will meet around the holiday tree, with hot chocolate and songbooks provided.
2. Food Pantry Fundraiser
– Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
– Location: Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale
– Details: The event includes pizza, a cash bar, and fellowship. A suggested donation of $25 per person will support our food pantry.
Due to recent federal budget cuts and the pause in SNAP benefits, we have seen a dramatic uptick in the number of households needing support from our pantry, which is already one of the busiest in the area. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
