In 2019 the PCO Mission Committee organized volunteers to build a wall, build storage shelves and sort donated clothes at CASS headquarters in Detroit.  In 2020 we will have a less challenging mission that will provide fun work for all HGTV skill levels! Ellen Hoekstra has arranged for our volunteers to perform work on the newest “Tiny Home”-the 21st little house built-that donations from our church have helped build. The work will include priming and painting the walls and ceilings, and then laying the new floor. If we can’t all squeeze into the little house assigned to us there are other tiny houses that would benefit from similar work so we can all stay busy. Also, when the weather warms up we are planning a second trip to CASS to do some landscaping on our tiny house.

This year’s trip will be one day only: Saturday March 7, 2020. We will meet at PCO prior to 9 AM and then carpool at 9 AM to Detroit. Following our work, those who wish to stay will have dinner at a restaurant in Detroit.  If you would like to help but cannot go we are asking for volunteers to provide food for our on-site lunch.

Adults and youth are all welcome as are upper elementary students who come with a parent. Medical clearance forms are needed and are available form Reverend Alice Townley or Ellen Hoekstra. Please return those form to either by Sunday, February 23, 2020. Thanks so much for offering your services!
